Drogon by RachaelsWireGarden Drogon by RachaelsWireGarden

Here is the link to it on my etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/174205666…

So... this was a design I had in my head back when I first started wire-wrapping. I tried to do it then, but ended up wasting a ton of my wire, got extremely frustrated, and just threw it all away lol. I decided to try it again, now that I've gotten a bit better ;]

This is a "Tree of Life" that's meant to be shaped like a dragon (I hope people can tell lol). The "branches" are the dragon's veins/cartilage in its wings, and I also have it blowing fire out of its mouth (glass seed beads). Now, I sort of wish I would have added arms and legs (or at least just arms) so that it doesn't look so snakelike lol, but if people like the design enough, I might try to do that next time. I spent SO much time on this... I re-did the wings... I don't even know how many times. Nothing I was doing seemed to be working very well... eventually, though, I think that what I ended up coming up with turned out okay. I really like the placement of the garnet stones, and when worn as a necklace, it all goes together really nicely.

I hope everyone enjoys this ^.^ It turned out differently than I'd imagined, but at the same time I kind of like it. I also got an AMAZING sterling silver dragon charm yesterday... I want to keep it lol, but I may use it on a pendant in the future.

The Tree of Life symbolizes spiritual growth and wisdom, strength, protection, and connectedness. It is a healthy model that inspires the spirit and encourages hope in all hearts.

These are delicate, wire wrapped pendants that should be handled with care. Some of the stones, glass, or shells used to create the tree can break if handled roughly.

This is amazing! I love it! I adore dragons and this fits perfectly. Seeing arms and/or legs would be good, but I like the Wurm-like shape too. The stone placement and wings themselves are incredible!

Aww thank you very much! I love dragons too  In my next dragon piece, I'll try to fit some arms and/or legs.
